Hello everyone!

Today, Sept 29 2015, I start writing on this blog (after 7 years since I have this website :D). I will not put any restriction on this blog, I will write anything related to … basically… anything. My son just asked me (he’s standing here watching me typing): “why English?” Well… again, I will not restrict myself with a particular language. I might write in English, Indonesian language (you, foreigners, call it Bahasa), or even Javanese. I will not write in Chinese for sure. Because I can’t.

First, let me introduce myself first. My name is Ardyanto Fitrady and my friends call me Arfie. I am a researcher and a lecturer in Faculty of Economics and Business-Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM). Where is it? It’s in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Google it if you never heard of it. It’s one of the biggest university in Indonesia. The biggest and the oldest I guess. I got my bachelor degree (S.E.) from FEB UGM in 2000 and directly attending master program in economics in FEB UGM and got my master degree (M.Si) in 2003. Then I got another master degree (M.A.) and Ph.D. in economics in 2014. My fields are urban and public economics and I am a math enthusiast.  I am not a mathematician, but I love to read anything about math. The history, concepts, and its applications. I love the fact that math can be used to solve and explain human and nature. That’s why I love economics.

Anyway, welcome to my blog. I use this blog as a channel to convey and share ideas with others and always welcome you to join me to discuss anything.
